The Color of Freedom Traveling Exhibit at VPCC
October 31, 2025 @ 8:00 am - November 25, 2025 @ 5:00 pm

This November, the Military Women’s Memorial’s traveling exhibit, “The Color of Freedom,” will be on display at Virginia Peninsula Community College’s Hampton Campus — honoring the service and sacrifice of women in uniform and celebrating the diversity of those who have answered the call to serve our Nation from the Revolutionary War through today.
Having traveled across the country, The Color of Freedom continues to connect communities to the powerful and often untold stories of women whose service transcended boundaries —women whose courage and dedication helped shape the course of American history.
The exhibit will be on display November 1–30, featuring special events throughout the month, including documentary screenings of “Unsung Heroes,” “The Six Triple Eight: No Mail, Low Morale” documentary by Executive Producer James Theres, and “The Six Triple Eight” film by Tyler Perry.
Join VPCC and the Military Women’s Memorial this November as we celebrate service, honor sacrifice, and shine a light on the extraordinary women whose stories continue to inspire generations.
