Summer With The Arts

Join us for our newest program Summer With The Arts: Healing, Freedom, Family!

The Military Women’s Memorial, in collaboration with UnitingUS, Community Building Art Works and Armed Services Arts Partnership, offers summer-long creative programming for the military-affiliated community.

From May 21-September 6 join us for the Healing with the Arts portion of the program. Through an art show, and a series of events, we will engage our community in a space intentionally curated for gathering, conversation, and celebration. Presented by UnitingUS, this exhibit includes works by veteran artists from across the country.

Evening with Rockwell

June 10 • June 17 • June 24, 5:15pm – 6:45pm

Join us for a VIP happy hour highlighting a one-of-a-kind piece of art by famed artist, Norman Rockwell. The artwork is of five servicewomen, which was the basis for one of the bronze tablets located over the archways of the Women’s Memorial Bell Tower at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, New Hampshire. Armed Services Arts Partnership Virtual Story Telling Workshop

June 16 • July 21

Storytelling is an art form that requires a unique way of observing the world and communicating one’s experiences. At this 3-hour crash course get a taste of storytelling, where you’ll learn how to find, craft, and share your story. No experience necessary! (18+).

Healing Arts Celebration

June 26, 2021 • 11am – 4pm

Join us as we explore the healing arts and the benefits they have on whole health through a panel discussion and art presentations. Dr. AnnMarie Halterman, U.S. Air Force veteran and current artist, moderates a discussion with veterans on how their respective art forms assist in the spectrum of healing.

Community Building Art Works Poem Debut

July 10

Join CBAW for the unveiling of a collaborative poem created by women veterans.

Celebrating Performing Arts

July 24 24, 2021 • 11am – 4pm

Join us for some long overdue belly laughs and celebrate the performing arts with live comedy and storytelling performances. Engage with veteran performing artists and learn more about Armed Services Arts Partnership’s programs.

Celebrating Family and Wellness

August 28, 2021 • 11am – 4pm

Celebrate family with activities designed to engage kids including arts and crafts, book readings and an art demonstration area.
