Donate To Our Collection
The Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation formally established its Collection in July 1994. The Foundation now houses more than 8,000 donations, including photographs, documents, textiles, artifacts and audiovisual material representing all eras and all branches of service. In February 2000, the Foundation officially launched the Oral History Program to collect the personal stories of veterans and active duty servicewomen. The Oral History Collection now houses over 1,000 narratives from all branches from World War I to the present. Our resources also include a research library of 1,000 books by and about military women.
The Collection continues to grow due to generous offers and every offer of memorabilia is important to us. Due to space limitations and accepted collection standards, we must be very selective in which items are showcased. To donate to the Collection, please complete our online donation form or call (703) 892‑4699. Only mail objects to the Foundation that have been confirmed and approved by the curator. Please allow up to two weeks for the curatorial department to review and respond.
