Although women have always volunteered in defense of our nation, many of their contributions have been forgotten and not recorded in today’s history books. Our mission is to collect, analyze, and make available the rich history of women’s service in and with the U.S. Armed Forces, beginning with the American Revolution to the present by collecting official and personal records, photographs, uniforms, personal and military-issue artifacts, and audiovisual material.
